← Study🌍 A Week With a Faraway Language
Challenge eventOne short passage. A language far from your own. One week to read it out loud. Six native versions, each with native audio, tap-any-word pronunciation, and your own notes saved under every word.
How it works
- 🧭 Pick a language far from your own. European-language natives take Japanese or Chinese. Asian-language natives take French, German, or Spanish. Native English speakers: any of the five, your call. Grew up with an African language? All six count as faraway, pick whichever calls to you.
- 📖 Reading only. You only need to read it aloud. No writing, no typing.
- ✍️ Annotate the pronunciation your own way: IPA, pinyin, romaji, or marks you invent yourself. Tap any word to hear it and jot your note right under it — or keep it all on paper.
- 📸 Show your work. Post a photo of your annotated page. Extra respect for a voice clip or video of you reading it.
- ⏳ One week. This passage was written fresh for this challenge.

g/FARWAY…
Annotations don't need to look standard. They never did. They only need to get you to say it out loud.
